How the PDF Converter works

Merge, split, compress and convert PDF files locally in your browser. Fluxed can export PDF pages as images, combine images into one PDF and remove document metadata without uploading confidential documents.

After you choose a file, a Web Worker processes its pages away from the main interface. This reduces interaction delays and means contracts, invoices, applications and scans stay inside the browser sandbox on your device. Select only the operation you need: extract pages, split a page range, merge several PDFs, compress compatible content or strip author and title metadata. When converting PDF to JPG or PNG, you control the render scale and image format. When converting images to PDF, arrange the source files before creating the document. Because the operation does not wait for a remote server, performance depends mainly on file size and your device. Very large PDFs may need more memory, so closing unused tabs can help on mobile devices.

Why local browser processing is safer

Traditional cloud converters upload a file to a remote system before processing it. Fluxed instead uses browser APIs, Web Workers and WebAssembly (WASM) inside the browser sandbox. Your operating system gives the page access only to files you explicitly select, and the conversion output is created locally. There is no account, analytics script or tracking cookie. After the required app assets have been cached, supported workflows can also run offline.

Frequently asked questions

Does Fluxed upload my PDF?

No. PDF parsing and output generation happen locally in your browser, with no document upload or account.

Can I convert every PDF page to JPG?

Yes. Enable image export, select JPG and choose the desired render scale before starting.

Can I merge PDFs offline?

Yes. Once Fluxed and its required assets are cached, merging works without an internet connection.
